Our Terroirs

Maranges

A young appellation created in 1989, Maranges marks the southern gateway to the Côte de Beaune.
This vineyard, with its well-exposed slopes, benefits from rich and varied clay-limestone soils that produce red wines with distinctive character. The Pinot Noirs are straightforward, fruity and spicy, supported by a fine tannic structure that can be slightly firm in their youth. These are wines with true identity — expressive, authentic and full of charm.

Santenay

Located at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune, Santenay combines the strength of its terroirs with refined elegance.
Its complex soils — a blend of marl, limestone and clay — give rise to subtle, distinctive and well-balanced red wines. It is also the historical heart of the estate, where some parcels have been cultivated for over 350 years.
Santenay authentically expresses the soul of Burgundy’s Pinot Noir, with wines that are both charming and profound. Its white wines, lesser-known and often underrated, combine freshness with smooth, delicate aromatics.

Chassagne-Montrachet

Chassagne-Montrachet is renowned as a land of great white wines, yet it also produces remarkable reds that remain little known.
These rare red parcels take root in prestigious limestone soils, giving Pinot Noir a refined, velvety, almost ethereal expression. Chassagne-Montrachet reds captivate with their supple structure, natural elegance and impressive ageing potential — worthy of the finest wines of the Côte de Beaune.

A global benchmark for Chardonnay, Chassagne-Montrachet is a true jewel of the Côte de Beaune. Its Grands Crus verge on perfection — notably Bâtard-Montrachet, cultivated by the Domaine — producing white wines of exceptional power and complexity. This outstanding terroir shapes wines of precision and tension, marked by great aromatic nobility. True oenological monuments, they embody the very essence of Burgundy’s white wines.

Pommard

Synonymous with powerful wines, Pommard embodies the strength and depth of Pinot Noir.
Its hillside terroir, rich in limestone, produces structured, energetic wines with firm yet finely sculpted tannins. These are quintessential wines for ageing, capable of maturing with grace and dignity.
The Domaine cultivates a parcel in the heart of the slope, yielding a wine that is both precise and refined, where the nobility of the soil tempers the natural vigour of the grape.

Nuits-Saint-Georges

At the southern end of the Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges stands out for the diversity of its soils and styles.
The wines are often earthy and concentrated, yet can also display beautiful minerality and graceful textures depending on the lieux-dits. The Domaine’s parcel, located at the southern tip of the appellation, produces a deep and elegant wine — a perfect illustration of this dual identity between strength and finesse.

Aloxe-Corton

Nestled between Beaune and Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton is home to the only red Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune.
The Domaine notably cultivates a prestigious parcel in Corton Les Languettes — an absolute rarity. On these historic Corton-Charlemagne slopes, red wines take on a singular dimension, combining finesse and depth with noble structure and remarkable length. An exceptional terroir for a truly age-worthy wine at the height of its art.

The Domaine also owns an ideally situated parcel of Corton-Charlemagne, a legendary white Grand Cru.
Born from marl and limestone soils, this Chardonnay develops powerful minerality, natural tension and great aromatic finesse. With notes of white flowers, honey and citrus, it gains in complexity over time, affirming its status as an exceptional wine for long ageing.
